大地测量学:研究和测定地球的形状、大小和地球重力场,以及地面点的几何位置的理论和方法。大地测量学是测绘学各个分支的理论基础,基本任务是建立地面控制网、重力网,精确确定控制点的三维位置,为地形图提供控制基础,为各类工程施工提供依据,为研究地球形状、大小、重力场以及变化,地壳形变及地震预报提供信息。 普通测量学:研究地球表面局部区域内控制测量和地形图测绘的理论和方法。局部区域是指在该区域内进行测绘时,可以不顾及地球曲率,把它当作平面处理,而不影响测图精度。 摄影测量学:研究利用摄影机或其他传感器采集被测物体的图像信息,经过加工处理和分析,以确定被测物体的形状、大小和位置,并判断其性质的理论和方法。按距离分可分为:航天摄影测量、航空影测量、地面影测量、近景影测量和显微影测量:按技术处理方法不同可以分为:模拟法影测量、解析法影测量和数字影测量。 工程测量学:研究工程建设中设计、施工和管理各阶段测量工作的理论、技术和方法。为工程建设提供精确的测量数据和大比例尺地图,保障工程选址合理,按设计施工和进行有效管理。在工程运营阶段对工程进行形变观测和沉降监测以保证工程运行正常。按研究的对象可以分为:建筑工程测量、水利工程测量、矿山工程测量、铁路工程测量、公路工程测量、输电线路与输油管道测量、桥梁工程测量、隧道工程测量、隧道工程测量、军事工程测量等。 海洋测绘:以海洋水体和海底为对象,研究海洋地位、测定海洋大地水准面和平均海面、海底和海面地形、海洋重力以及海洋磁力、海洋环境等自然和社会信心的地理分布及其编制各种海图的理论饿技术的学科。为舰船航行安全、海洋工程建设提供保障。 地图制图学:研究地图及其编制的理论和方法。
