日前，根据新疆自治区测绘局的部署，新疆自治区第一测绘院承担西煤东运煤炭基地建设项目4-8区块（南区）三等水准测量任务。该任务面积约为12214平方公里，需施测三等水准1236公里，埋设三等水标准石151坐。

　　新疆自治区第一测绘院高度重视此项任务，专门召开会议研究部署。经过物资准备和技术任务后，于7月25日奔赴测区。

　　该测区处于吐鲁番市、鄯善县和哈密市三地域内，大部分为沙漠戈壁，道路较少，地表温度高达60-70摄氏度，地区表面20cm以下是50cm的硝盐与戈壁混合结晶体，经过常年结晶和干燥，质地特别坚硬，而且测区内没有人居住，手机没有信号，通信无法保证，这些都给作业造成许多困难。为圆满完成任务，该院专门购买了6台精度较高的自动安平数字水准仪，配备条码铟钢标尺以，并为项目组配备了无线通信电台，以保障作业人员能安全保质保量按时完成任务。
