　　《中国性别平等与妇女发展地图集》是中国第一本以性别为主题的地图集。图集为16开本，绘制有各类地图70多幅，文字说明约６万字，统计图表100多张。全面系统地反映了中国性别平等与妇女在参政、就业、教育、婚姻家庭、生育健康、法律等方面的情况。

　　该图集的编制出版贯彻了中国“男女平等”的基本国策和维护妇女权益、促进妇女发展的方针政策，充分体现了中国妇女在国家政治、经济、文化和社会等领域的地位与作用，显示了中国妇女在参与国家和社会事务管理程度、就业比重和就业层次、受教育水平、家庭地位等方面的时空分布与动态变化。同时也反映了中国妇女在就业、健康、疾病等方面存在的地区差异。图集的编制与出版，具有十分重要的科学意义、应用价值与社会效益。它将为各级领导与有关部门了解性别和妇女发展状况，制定有关具体政策和措施提供重要的科学依据。

In recent days, from Wuhan University and Qingdao University, joint preparation, China Cartographic Publishing House published "China's Atlas of Gender Equality and Women's Development," the launching ceremony held in Beijing. "Gender Equality and Women's Development in China Atlas" is the first atlas of the theme of gender. Atlas Folio 16, drawing a map of 70 pieces of various types, text by about 6 million words, statistical charts to more than 100. Comprehensively and systematically reflects the Chinese gender equality and women's political participation, employment, education, marriage and family, reproductive health, and legal aspects.


The preparation of the atlas published in implementing China's "gender equality" basic national policy and maintain the rights of women and promoting women's development policies, fully embodies the Chinese women in the country's political, economic, cultural and social fields of the status and role, showing China's women's participation in national and social affairs attainment, employment share and employment levels, educational level, family status, etc. of the spatial and temporal distribution and dynamics. Also reflects the Chinese women in employment, health, disease, regional differences exist. Atlas of the preparation and publication of great scientific significance, value and social benefits.
