2009年，河南省测绘局适应新形势、新任务的要求，围绕中心，服务大局，服务社会，不断提升服务保障能力，为政府“保增长、保发展、保态势”决策、应急保障和重大基础设施建设主动服务，取得了明显成效。该局的主要做法:

　　一是主动为“三大体系、一个载体”建设提供测绘保障。重点扶持了被国家测绘局列入新农村建设试点的驻马店市三区两县一体化新农村建设测绘保障示范项目，支持并参与了平顶山市的平宝叶鲁产业集聚区建设，同时还先后为20多个产业集聚区制作了多种比例尺地形图。二是为满足省级领导科学决策需要，迅速启动了《河南省领导工作用图》工程。该项目由省政府领导挂帅,省国土资源厅和省测绘局共同负责实施。省测绘局科学组织，多方协调，省地图院的技术人员夜以继日，会战百日，高质量、高效率地完成了《河南省领导工作用图》的资料收集、编制等工作， 12月底定稿印刷。三是及时服务好全省重大项目、重点工程。省测绘局联合中国测绘科学研究院为省政府成功研建了“遥感影像三维地理空间信息应急指挥服务系统”，为省政府解决新乡、开封两市黄河滩区群众纠纷事件提供了及时、准确的测绘保障。先后为省防汛抗旱、防灾减灾，为济南军区及总参联合军事演习，为高速公路、铁路建设规划，为西气东输二线工程、郑徐客运专线、南水北调中线工程、第二次土地调查、中原城市群核心区总体规划、核电选址、新农村规划、文物普查规划等20多个重大项目及一批中小项目提供了及时有效服务。

　　全年，该局向社会各界共提供各等级大地控制点成果1421个， 1∶1万、1∶5万等基本比例尺地形图7133幅，各类测绘数据17万MB，影像数据61922片7944千MB，比去年有较大幅度的增长，有力地支持了经济建设、社会发展和国防建设。
