近日，新疆第二测绘院举行了一场具有特殊意义的捐资助学仪式，职工们为维吾尔族孤儿开赛尔捐助了一学年的学费。该院已连续资助开赛尔5年。
    2004年，一个偶然的机会，新疆二院遥感分院职工了解到开赛尔的情况。10岁的开赛尔父母都已去世，他和年迈的爷爷奶奶一起生活，爷爷已退休，奶奶没有工作，两位老人身体又不好，祖孙三口就靠爷爷微薄的退休金生活，一家人生活很困难，开赛尔面临失学的困境。
    得知这一消息后，遥感分院干部职工向他伸出了援助之手，积极为开赛尔捐款。但一次捐助并不能解决开赛尔的持续学习问题，为了让他能和其他同龄的孩子一样享受学校教育，不再为学费发愁，遥感分院主动与开赛尔所在的小学联系，并与学校签订了助学协议，每年为开赛尔资助400元学费，帮助他顺利完成学业。除了经济上资助，遥感分院的团员青年还不定期与老师联系，了解开赛尔的学习和生活情况。每逢六一儿童节，都为开赛尔送去书包、文具、书籍等学习用具。每年的古尔邦节，还送去大米、面粉、清油，解决他和爷爷奶奶的生活困难。
    除了帮助开赛尔之外，遥感分院还发挥测绘单位的资源优势，为开赛尔所在的学校送去大量地图产品，特别是维文版地图产品，帮助学校进行双语教学，受到了师生们的欢迎。
    在二院职工多年的捐助和关爱下，开赛尔完成了小学学业，顺利升入初中。2008年，该院表示将继续资助开赛尔完成初中学业。
    为了感谢新疆二院职工长期以来的无私帮助，开赛尔的奶奶流着热泪，送上一面鲜红的锦旗。老人激动地说：“感谢第二测绘院全体职工多年来的无私关爱和帮助，使我的孙子没有失学。”开赛尔的班主任热依汗也由衷地表达了对新疆二院干部职工捐资助学的感激之情。
