　　由省国土资源厅建议的广东省“十二五”基础地理信息更新与应用研究已经省政府批准列为广东省“十二五”规划前期研究课题。经过历年的建设，广东省的基础地理信息系统建设取得了长足的进步，在现代测绘基准、基础地理信息更新与建库、基础设施建设和测绘服务保障等方面取得了明显的成效，为广东省的经济社会发展、政府管理决策、国防建设、信息化建设等方面提供了有效、有力、及时的测绘保障服务。但是，广东省的基础地理信息更新速度与应用和全省经济社会的快速发展需求不相适应，基础地理信息的需求量和需求面大幅增加，供求矛盾日益凸显。

　　广东省国土资源厅组织相关人员针对上述问题，认真详细的编写了《广东省“十二五”基础地理信息更新与应用研究报告》。该报告的主要内容是分析广东省“十一五”期间基础地理信息更新与应用情况、面临的形势和亟待解决的主要问题，研究加快广东省基础地理信息更新与应用的机制、对策以及公共平台建设和地形图保密处理技术等，提出“十二五”期间广东省基础地理信息更新与应用的指导思想、任务目标、主要政策措施。

　　专家们认为，广东省“十二五”基础地理信息更新与应用研究报告结合《珠江三角洲地区改革发展规划纲要（2008-2020年）》的要求，结合广东实际，分析研究了广东省“十一五”基础测绘规划的实施情况，提出了“十二五”基础地理信息更新与应用的目标、任务和政策建议，符合国家和国际的发展趋势。该目标的实现将为广东省经济社会发展和争当实践科学发展观排头兵提供有力的基础测绘保障。报告可操作性强，建设内容科学合理。同意通过评审。
