2009年9月14日至17日，国家西部测图项目部在库尔勒召开外业生产会议。会议由项目部郝科铭主持，陕西、黑龙江、四川、海南测绘局，以及新疆维吾尔自治区测绘局西部测图各生产单位技术负责人及技术人员，共30多人参加会议。

　　会上，各单位进行了充分的交流和讨论，统一了对沙漠类型的认识。项目部听取了各单位的生产情况汇报，并组织各单位对接边处沙漠类型进行了确认。会议的召开，解决了作业中的技术问题，避免了因认识不一致而造成成果不统一，为该片区测图顺利开展创造了条件。
