目前要在我国全面实现数字测图还有许多困难，主要问题是资金问题、人才问题和观念问题，而不是技术问题。进口仪器(全站仪和自动绘图仪等)价格昂贵，使测绘成本提高。我国测绘技术人员对传统测绘技术掌握较好，但由于缺少进修机会，很多测绘技术人员对数字测图技术很陌生，数字测图产品的使用与管理更缺乏人才。另外在推广数字化测图过程中，一定要更新观念，应充分认识数字化测图的优点。数字测图必须突破"图"的概念，而突出"数"的概念，测量数据一定要全息保存。测量数据应全社会共享。
