8月12日，《数字荆门地理空间框架建设总体方案》评审会在武汉召开。会上，专家组认真听取了项目方案编制单位的汇报，经过质询、讨论后认为,项目方案编制单位提供的资料齐全、文档规范，符合评审要求；项目方案目标明确、内容完整、技术路线合理可行，符合国家数字城市建设的有关要求，能够满足数字荆门地理空间框架建设的需求；项目设计采用了当前数字城市建设的主流技术，既可保证项目的先进性，又可保证数字荆门地理空间框架建设工程的顺利实施；项目实施条件充分，保障措施严密，进度安排可行，经费概算基本合理。与会专家一致同意该方案通过评审。
