6月20日，武汉大学与中国冶金地质总局共建的地球空间信息工程重点实验室揭牌，双方还签署了科技与教育全面合作协议，标志着在科技咨询、学术交流、科技项目、科研平台建设、教育培训等领域的合作进入更深层次。

　　武汉大学校长顾海良与中国冶金地质总局局长闫学义共同为实验室揭牌，并签订了《科技与教育全面合作协议书》和《地球空间信息工程中国冶金地质总局重点实验室协议书》。学校聘任闫学义以及该局遥感中心主任赵珍梅、中南局副局长陈海弟为兼职教授，顾海良为其颁发聘书。该校宁津生、张祖勋院士，李清泉、万幼川教授受聘为该局技术顾问，闫学义为其颁发聘书。

　　根据协议，重点实验室将结合地球空间信息科学与技术发展方向，重点开展基础研究、应用基础研究、新技术和新产品开发，有针对性地提出空间信息关键技术问题解决的前瞻性、科学性决策依据，大力培养地理信息工程高层次专业技术人才。

　　校党委书记李健指出，本次签署全面合作协议，标志着双方合作掀开了新的一页。

June 20, Wuhan University and the China Metallurgical Geology Bureau to build the Geo-Spatial Information Engineering Laboratory of the opening, the two sides also signed a technology cooperation agreement with a comprehensive education, marks in science and technology consulting, academic exchanges, science and technology projects, scientific research platform building, education and training, cooperation in such areas as access to a deeper level.

Gu Liang, Wuhan University Vice-Chancellor and the China Metallurgical Geology Bureau, Mr Yan Xueyi unveiled for the lab and signed a "technology and education and all-round cooperation agreement" and "Geo-Spatial Information Engineering, China Metallurgical Geology Bureau Key Laboratory of agreement." Yan Xueyi schools, as well as the appointment of the Board Director of the Center for Remote Sensing Mei Zhen, China and South Africa, Deputy Secretary for the part-time professor Chen Di, Hai-liang presented their letters of appointment. School Ning-sheng, ZHANG Zuxun Academy, LI Qing-quan, Professor Wan Youchuan employed as technical advisers to the council, Yan Xueyi issued its letter of appointment.


Under the agreement, Key Laboratory of the combination of geo-spatial information science and technology development direction and focus on basic research, applied basic research, new technologies and new product development, targeted to make spatial information to solve key technical problems in the forward-looking, scientific and decision-making based on GIS projects make great efforts to train high-level technical professionals.


School party secretary Li pointed out that the signing of this agreement and all-round cooperation, cooperation between the two sides marks a new chapter opened.
