7月17日，国家测绘局局长徐德明在出席数字太原地理空间框架建设项目竣工汇报及推广会后，到山西省测绘局视察。

　　徐德明先后考察了山西省国家数字化测绘生产基地、综合地理信息中心、遥感中心、测绘工程院等单位，观看了三维高清立体测绘成果演示和山西局引进的具有国际先进水平的ADS40数字航空摄影测量系统，听取了山西局局长牛来有关于全省测绘工作情况的汇报。徐德明对山西测绘工作给予充分肯定，认为发展思路明确，工作要求具体；坚持服务大局，服务保障有力；注重基础投入，整体实力雄厚；重视人才培养，着力自主创新；组织协调有力，事业发展快速；关心职工生活，注重环境建设；工作求真务实，成效比较显著。

　　徐德明就进一步做好山西测绘工作提出六点要求：一是着力推动数字城市建设，这是推进山西信息化建设、实现山西经济的科学转型和快速发展、提升山西现代化水平的重要基础。二是搞好自主创新，提升技术水平，为提高测绘保障能力和服务水平提供有力支撑。三是加大测绘服务力度，强化基础测绘工作，为构建数字城市、数字中国提供充足的、现势性强的信息数据，更好地服务大局、服务社会、服务民生。四是加强机构建设，完善体制机制，确保测绘工作层层有人抓、有人管、抓到位。要强化测绘统一监管，建立和维护良好的测绘市场秩序。五是加快发展地理信息产业，这是测绘部门的重要职责，也是测绘服务经济、服务社会的重要途径。要做大做强地理信息产业，为社会提供更多更好的地理信息产品和服务，满足人民群众对测绘日益增长的需求。六是重视抓队伍建设，做好职工的政治思想工作，努力解决职工生产生活中遇到的问题，维护测绘队伍稳定。
