2月25日12时56分，云南省楚雄彝族自治州禄丰县、元谋县交界处发生5.1级地震。14时30分，云南省测绘局接到禄丰县地震局的电话，要求为其赶制震区地图，并于当天下午提供使用。省测绘局立即启动应急预案，组织精干技术人员，赶制所需地图。经过资料分析，快速制定制图方案，随即开展地图编制，在较短的时间内赶制出全开《禄丰县地图》30幅，双全开《禄丰县地图》2幅，双全开《楚雄州地图》2幅，并及时送到禄丰县地震局工作人员的手中，为制定抗震救灾方案提供了直观的地图资料。
