宋超智在讲话中指出，近几年山西测绘工作思路清晰，目标明确，突出山西特色，许多方面走在全国各省的前列。一是基础测绘投入进一步加大，服务值大幅提升。二是设备改造升级，科技创新水平不断提高。配备的ADS80航摄系统、像素工厂、ALS60机载激光扫描系统、IP-S2移动测量系统等设备和技术，在全国乃至世界上都是领先的。三是项目建设成效突出。山西是全国最早建成省级基础地理信息数据库属的省份之一，数字城市建设也走在全国前列。四是成立了测绘宣传中心，有专门的机构、编制、人员从事测绘宣传工作，这说明山西局党组一班人对测绘宣传工作重要性的认识很到位。山西局对宣传工作的认识、取得的成绩，值得总结宣传。

　　宋超智说，刚刚结束的全国测绘局长会议明确了今年工作的目标与任务，概括来讲就是要举旗亮剑，着力办好4件大事：完善测绘管理体制，加快数字城市地理空间框架建设，推进地理信息公共服务平台建设，发展地理信息产业。他要求山西局解放思想，转变观念，敢想、敢干、会干，突出重点，为测绘事业发展营造良好的政策环境、外部环境，继续保持良好的发展势头。
