今日，我国第26次南极科学考察队将在上海集结，计划于10月11日乘坐“雪龙”号极地科学考察船奔赴南极。武汉大学有4人入选考察队，还有一人将出征格罗夫山。

　　据介绍，考察队共有251名考察队员，是自1984年我国首次南极考察以来人员最多的一次；180天里，考察队将执行59项科学考察任务，是我国南极考察历史上任务最重的一次。

　　武汉大学入选4人分别是王泽民、路志越、黄继锋和安家春，他们将分别承担格罗夫山考察、中山站及长城站的相关任务。

　　据了解，武汉大学博士生路志越和黄继锋将承担中山站验潮站的建设。

　　据介绍，验潮资料分析是研究海平面变化的重要手段之一。专业人员曾利用中国南极中山验潮站2004年12月26日至29日的验潮数据，记录到了当时的印度洋大海啸事件，海啸通过印度洋于震后12小时达到南极中山站海域。

　　路志越和黄继锋赴南极后将尝试安装新的海底自动验潮仪，并连接上耐低温、高抗挤压的专用数据电缆，电缆直接牵到GPS观测室。

　　另据了解，本次考察有个亮点是出征南极格罗夫山，其中，武大中国南极测绘研究中心副主任王泽民，承担该山核心地区测绘，将使用GPS等技术测定格罗夫山区的山峰高程。

　　据介绍，南极格罗夫山哈丁山是我国设立的第一个“南极特别保护区”，对其考察历来都是中国南极科考任务中极为引人关注的一部分。

　　这是我国第五次对格罗夫山地区进行综合性考察，在前四次考察中，我国在这个地区共回收南极陨石9834块，拥有量居世界第三位，仅次于日本和美国。
