湖北省测绘局积极服务国家和省重点工程建设，取得了显著成效。

　　该局坚持把服务国家和省重点工程建设作为重要工作抓紧抓好，先后完成了国家民政部下达的《中华人民共和国省级行政区域界线详图集》中10条省界的制图任务，为规范全国省级界线管理、维护省级边界地区稳定提供服务。编制了《湖北省防洪形势图》，完成了《湖北省电网规划数字平台》（二期）建设，为防汛和电网规划管理提供了服务。建立了农村、城镇地籍调查以及土地利用总体规划数据库，为有效规划管理土地提供服务。为郑州至万州，黔江至张家界至常德等铁路、武九铁路、武黄城际铁路、阳逻电厂专用铁路的建设，十天公路、咸通公路、苏丹公路、炎汝高速公路、十堰至白河段高速公路、316国道、福银联络线、襄樊市一级公路、洪湖至监利公路的建设，武当山机场、恩施机场二期扩建等提供了测绘保障服务。特别在核电站选址，南水北调工程，城镇化推进，港口、新农村建设，湖北省长城资源调查，湖北省灌区水利建设等诸多方面充分发挥了测绘保障作用。
