基础地理信息是国家的重要战略性资源，是全社会宝贵的财富。近年来，湖北省测绘局不断丰富基础地理信息资源，促进地理信息产业蓬勃发展，为国民经济社会又好又快地发展提供了及时、准确、快速的保障服务，取得了累累硕果。

　　湖北省测绘局结合经济社会发展，大力抓好实施基础地理信息数据采集覆盖工程建设。加大全省1：1万基本比例尺地形图更新覆盖率，组织实施了荆州、恩施、武汉城市圈等地约7.8万平方公里1：1万基础地理信息数据采集与更新；完成了全省GPS C级网测制、1：5万地名数据和部分1：1万DLG数据建库工作；组织实施了十堰、洪湖、宜昌等区域共约6000平方公里范围大比例尺航空摄影和武当山、神农架、九宫山、大洪山等著名山峰高程测量；首次实现了全省现势性强的市（县）公开版地图和城区图的覆盖。

　　湖北省测绘局积按照省委、省政府的要求，全面推进 “数字湖北”建设。2009年“数字潜江”工程验收合格，成为全国第一批数字区域地理空间框架建设示范城市，“数字鄂州”、“数字黄冈”也被纳入国家数字区域地理空间示范城市，随州、黄石、襄樊、荆门等城市也积极申报国家数字区域地理空间推广城市，“数字城市”建设进入全面推广阶段；武汉城市圈、仙洪新农村建设试验区、三峡库区等区域性综合空间地理信息集成平台建设进展顺利；省电子政务一期工程空间基础地理信息库系统、省公安厅指挥中心地理信息系统、湖北省河道堤防管理信息系统、湖北省长江堤防数据库和三维仿真系统等各类专题信息系统也得到了示范应用，在湖北省测绘局的不懈努力下，“数字湖北”建设正如火如荼进行。

　　正是由于湖北省测绘局在地理信息方面所作出的突出成绩，日前，在中国地理信息系统协会主办的2009年“中国地理信息产业论坛”暨中国地理信息系统协会年会上，湖北省测绘局被授予“中国地理信息产业十佳单位”称号。

Hubei Provincial Bureau of Surveying and Mapping integration of economic and social development, make great efforts to implement the coverage of basic geographic information and data collection projects. To increase the province's 1:1 million scale topographic maps updates the basic coverage, organization and implementation of Jingzhou, Enshi, Wuhan city circle, etc. of about 78,000 square kilometers of 1:1 million in basic geographic information data collection and updating; completed the provincial GPS C level network measurement system, 1:5 million, 1:1 million geographical names data, and some of DLG data to build database work; organization and implementation of Shiyan, Lake, Yichang and other regional total of about 6,000 square kilometer area of large-scale aerial photography and Wudang, Shennongjia, Kau Kung Hill, and other famous peaks Dahongshan height measurement; the first time, the province is strong potential of the city (county) public version of the coverage maps and city plans.


Hubei Provincial Bureau of Surveying and Mapping product in accordance with provincial committee and government requirements, comprehensively promote the "digital Hubei" construction. 2009 "Digital Qianjiang" project acceptance, becoming the first batch of digital geo-spatial framework for the building of the regional model city, "digital Ezhou", "digital Huanggang" were included in the national digital geo-spatial model of regional cities, Suizhou, Huangshi, Xiangfan , Jingmen and other cities to actively apply for national digital geospatial promotion of regional cities, "Digital City" entered the promotion stage; Wuhan city circle, Sin Hung experimental area of new rural construction, the Three Gorges reservoir area and other regional integration of spatial geographic information integration platform construction smoothly; province, a project space for e-government basic geographic information database system, the provincial Public Security Bureau Command geographic information systems, river embankment management information system in Hubei Province, Hubei Province Yangtze River dikes and three-dimensional simulation system for a database on various topics such as information systems have also been a demonstration application, in Hubei Province Bureau of Surveying and Mapping the unremitting efforts of the "digital Hubei" construction is in full swing.


It is precisely because of Hubei Bureau of Surveying and Mapping the geographical information made outstanding achievements, recently, geographic information systems in China, sponsored by the Association in 2009 "China's Geographic Information Industry Forum" and the China Association for Geographic Information Systems at the annual meeting, Hubei Bureau of Surveying and Mapping was awarded "China Top Ten units of geographic information industry" title.
