Being held in Beijing the 30th Asian Conference on Remote Sensing from over 30 countries will gather more than 600 experts and scholars and representatives of the Asian Remote Sensing 30 years of road construction were reviewed, and 24 named Asia making great progress in remote sensing science the efforts of scientists awarded the Outstanding Contribution Award.

19 held on the opening ceremony, Secretary-General of the Asian Association on Remote Sensing, Professor Murai recalled in Asia over the past 30 years, the course of development of remote sensing, and from China, India, Japan, Mongolia, Sri Lanka, Switzerland, Thailand and Vietnam and other countries 24 Asian remote sensing scientists awarded Outstanding Contribution Award. Meeting at the same time 12 scientists were awarded to Thai Boon Indrambarya remote sensing scientist named Professor of Asian Boon Indrambarya gold medal.


According to the General Assembly, Secretary-General, deputy director of the Institute of Remote Sensing Applications, Chinese Academy of Sciences WANG Jin-year introduction, the 30th Asian Conference on Remote Sensing to move into the space age in Asia as its theme, the topics of the meeting of new sensors and applications, remote sensing, data processing and geographic information systems and so on. From around the world the field of remote sensing and related subject matter experts, academics and business people will be a hot topic for global debate and demonstrate to the Asia and the world of remote sensing science and technology in Asia in recent years of development.


Asian Conference on Remote Sensing for the promotion of Asian countries in remote sensing, geographic information systems and space technology applications for exchanges and cooperation, co-sponsored by the Asian remote sensing science and technology sector, the exchange event, since 1980 has been successfully held 30 times. Earlier, the Asian Conference on Remote Sensing in China successfully held three times.


The current 5-day Asian Conference on Remote Sensing, by the Asian Association on Remote Sensing Remote Sensing Committee co-organized with China, Chinese Academy of Sciences Institute of Remote Sensing Applications, Chinese Academy of Sciences of the Earth Observation and Digital Earth Science Center, Ministry of Land and aerogeophysical Center for Remote Sensing National Remote Sensing Science and Technology Center and other organizations jointly.
