近日，宁夏第一测绘院奔赴各市、县进行B级GPS网观测，标志着宁夏最高等级的新一代大地测量基准网开始建立。

　　此项目是国家边远地区、少数民族地区基础测绘专项补助，采用全球卫星定位技术进行布设的新一代空间卫星定位网，是省级空间三维大地测量基准网的重要组成部份。该项目建成后与国家B级GPS点一起构成宁夏新一代空间三维大地测量基准网，将确定全区范围内厘米级大地水准面，逐步形成新的宁夏测绘基准体系。此基准体系的建立能够加速传统的测绘生产作业方式向现代测绘生产作业方式的转变,改变传统的外业测量工作强度大、工期长、投入大的状况，对推动宁夏测绘技术的进步，加快“数字宁夏”的建设将起到重要作用。同时，能够为政府宏观决策、国土资源调查与开发、水资源的开发与利用、环境自然灾害的预防等和农、林、牧各行业提供测绘基准，具有重要的社会价值。
