自1952年以来，同济大学建筑与城市规划学院已经走过了51年的历程。几代教师不懈努力，奠定了"严谨务实"的同济风格，广大同学勤奋向上，形成了"缜思畅想"的同济精神；各方朋友的热情支持，造就了"兼收并蓄"的同济情怀。今天，我们学院已成为国内招生规模最大、专业设备齐全，在国内和国际建筑与城市规划界有重要影响的教学和科研机构。在当今上海和全中国城市建设蓬勃发展的背景下，我们恭逢其时，得以把握机遇，学以致用，同时也深感责任重大。要在中国的建筑事业中教书育人，不辱使命，要在世界学术领域深入研究，作出贡献，我们必须加倍努力，不断提高水平，立足上海，服务全国，放眼世界。

在今后的岁月里，我们学院提出了"固本、内聚、外拓"的大三战略。"固本"就是要总结经验，进一步发扬同济的长处，巩固教学科研的已有成果；"内聚"就是要完善机制，充分发挥教师和学生的聪明才智，发扬同济文化，壮大发展力量；"外拓"就是向全世界开放，在发展与世界知名大学和著名专家学者的传统友谊的基础上，继续扩大国际合作交流，相互学习，把同济大学建筑与城市规划学院建设成为国际专业界学术交流的重要舞台。

"同济"，中文的意思就是团结合作、共同发展的意思。热情欢迎莘莘学子来同济学习，殷切希望专家同行来同济交流，衷心感谢新老朋友热心支持同学。
