With the continuous operation of the satellite positioning system reference stations recently completed, from the beginning of this year, Lanzhou City, urban planning and management will bid farewell to the traditional model of the total into the "digital planning" era. Learned from the Lanzhou municipal government, in response to the rapid development of urban construction, urban space to achieve the efficient allocation of resources and reasonable arrangements, Lanzhou City Planning Bureau and Lanzhou Institute of Surveying and Mapping survey the development and construction of a common reference point of the satellite positioning system, after more than a year building, the current system has been completed and entered trial operation.


It is understood that the Lanzhou City were built in the county area Reference Station 7, a control center and data center to enable continuous operation of the satellite positioning system reference stations covering the urban area of Lanzhou, counties, towns and major transport links, about 5000 square kilometers.


Continuous operation of the satellite positioning system reference stations (CORS) is a modern space technology, communications technology, computer technology and mapping technology combine to establish a certain number of continuous operation of the permanent reference stations, the Internet through the network, which constitute a new generation of network of satellite navigation and positioning of the integrated service platform for the city to provide accurate, continuous space base.
