正值八一建军节，一改前两天的阴雨天，三亚今天阳光灿烂。上午八点，2009年全国学生定向越野锦标赛暨“四维测绘杯”第五届全国测绘职工及教师定向越野大奖赛开幕式在三亚鹿回头广场举行。开幕式简短而热烈，三亚市领导、主办方领导、裁判员代表、运动员代表讲话后，鸣枪开赛。

　　据了解，本届比赛由中国大学生体育协会、中国中学生体育协会、国家测绘局科普办公室、三亚市人民政府主办，海南省教育厅、海南测绘局、中国大学生体育协会定向运动分会、三亚市测绘院协办。此次越野赛是三亚市继2006年、2008年成功举办此项赛事以来，第三次承办此项赛事。比赛分多个组别，进行短距离赛、中距离赛、百米定向赛、积分赛、接力赛、团体赛六个项目的比赛。来自全国20多个内地省、直辖市以及香港特别行政区的大专院校、中学和全国测绘系统共组织200余支代表队的1500多名教练、运动员将参加为期5天的比赛。

　　开幕式后，在三亚槟榔河乡村旅游区举行了测绘组比赛。后面的比赛还将在全国5A级风景区大小洞天、黄猄林场、南新农场举行。
