徐州师范大学测绘学院的前身是国土信息与测绘工程系。学院拥有一支结构合理、专业素质优良、教学科研水平较高、充满朝气与活力的师资队伍。现有教师38人，其中，教授8人，副教授15人，其中，博士生导师1人，硕士生导师12人。教师队伍中有江苏省有突出贡献中青年专家、江苏省“333”工程培养人选、江苏省“青蓝工程”优秀中青年学术带头人、省级优秀青年骨干教师、全国人大代表和市人大代表。具有博士、硕士学位的教师占教师人数的80%。

        学院现有大地测量学与测量工程硕士学位授权点，测绘工程、土地资源管理两个本科专业，在校研究生与本科生600多人。其中，测绘工程专业为省级重点建设的特色专业。学院下设测绘工程系、国土资源系和地球空间科学与工程研究中心、测绘科学与技术研究所、土地规划研究所、现代大地测量实验中心、测绘信息工程实验中心。测绘科学与技术一级学科具有副教授任职业资格的学科评议权。

         学院实验中心下设普通测量、现代大地测量、精密工程测量、地理信息工程、数据处理、数字化工程、摄影测量与遥感、土地规划与利用、土地信息系统、房地产估价等实验室。拥有GPS接收机、全站仪、电子水准仪、电子经纬仪、陀螺定向仪、大幅面绘图仪、扫描仪、数字化仪等现代测绘仪器设备300多台套，有地理信息系统、遥感、摄影测量图像处理等软件平台。实验中心以“3S”技术为支撑，面向全校师生开放，并竭诚为教学、科研和工程服务。

         学院科研成果丰硕，获得国家科技进步二等奖1项，省部级科技进步奖6项，发表论文近400篇，出版专著、教材20余部，开发完成具有自主版权的软件有：“GPS控制网数据处理系统”、“城市地下管线信息系统”、“基于地形图的地形信息自动提取系统”、“露天矿验收测量自动化系统”等应用软件，承担或参加国家及（部）级科研项目10余项。在注重理论研究与创新的同时，测绘学院面向社会、面向经济建设主战场，积极参与地方经济建设服务。先后承担完成了40余项地方委托的横向联合研究项目，为地方经济建设、科技进步和社会发展做出了重要贡献。

学院十分重视教学工作，为提高教学质量，本科生80%的主干课程由具有高级职称的教师授课。学院坚持产学研结合的办学模式，与周边地区十几家企事业单位和研究机构联合办学，共建实习基地，走出了一条“产学研结合、注重能力培养”的特色办学之路。
