　　重庆测绘院今年承担的1：5万更新测区位于新疆罗布泊、楼兰地区，测区东西横跨约800公里，南北纵跨约450公里。测区涵盖乌鲁木齐市、鄯善县、巴里坤县、木垒县和伊吾县城区，自然条件极其恶劣，沙漠、戈壁纵横其间。为强健体魄，磨练队伍意志，该院组织外业职工每天早晨进行1个小时体育锻炼，并为其提供鸡蛋、牛奶等营养丰富的早餐。为增加数据精度，提高作业效率，该院改变以往原始小比例尺GPS测量模式，特地引进3台差分GPS接收机，采用高精度的单机独立差分测量模式作业，并对仪器的精度和进行检测。此外，为确保安全和保密工作，院还专门组织了安全培训和保密培训。这一系列措施，为该院完成任务打下了良好基础。
