记者从西藏自治区气象局科研所了解到,总投资598万元的“珠峰自然保护区生态环境监测及登山旅游气象服务系统建设”项目已获得中国气象局立项,并开始建设。
据介绍,按照这个项目规划,将在珠峰保护区的核心区域绒布冰川末端新建2层20米的无人值守自动气象站,除了常规的气象要素之外,还将安装全套辐射观测仪器;对现有绒布寺自动气象站和定日气象站增加1层20米观测塔和全套辐射观测仪器;并与已有和拟建中的自动气象站组网,构建珠峰登山旅游气象服务观测站网体系。
按照项目规划,还将利用卫星遥感资料和地面观测相结合的方法,开展珠峰自然保护区冰川积雪的变化、气候变化、地表覆盖变化、大气成分、大气要素梯度变化、水文过程及水资源的观测和分析;并用不同分辨率的卫星遥感数据对珠峰保护区的宏观环境变化进行评价。
此外,西藏将建设登山旅游气象服务系统与平台。依托现有的珠峰保护区内的定日和聂拉木两个常规气象站、中国科学院珠峰大气与环境综合观测研究站、西藏自治区气象局绒布寺自动气象观测站及中国科学院寒旱所的东绒布自动气象观测站,加上项目拟建的绒布冰川自动气象站及西藏自治区气象局将要新建的樟木镇、吉隆、定结3个自动气象站,加强部门之间的合作,组建珠峰登山旅游气象服务、气象观测站网系统。这个项目的实施将为登山爱好者选择登山佳时间提供科学气象预报。
