海南测绘局加大测绘成果应用力度，及时为海南省行政管理与决策、公共服务、重大工程项目、社会安全、防灾减灾等方面提供了可靠测绘保障服务。

　　一是优化服务，为海南重大工程、重大战略决策提供保障支持。坚持把“服务社会、方便用户”放在首位，为全省各地区各部门及时提供基础测绘成果，对急需部门适当倾斜，力争做到重点突出，急用优先提供，确保重大工程和重点区域的基础测绘用图。三年来，累计向国土资源、地矿、规划建设、交通运输、农业、水利、气象、林业、电力、海洋、石油、地震、环保、旅游等部门和单位提供各种地形图1682张，4D产品11401张，大地成果267张，坐标换算3000点。涉及的重大应用项目有国家“十一五”农田整治规划、海南省东方电厂建设、海南省文物普查、海南省东环铁路线路设计、生态文明村规划建设、海南省风能发电站建设、海南省面雨量项目建设、海南省无线数字电视农村网覆盖项目、海南省地震应急基础数据库建设、文昌卫星发射基地建设、第二次土地调查、琼海博鳌机场选址、海南省主体功能区规划、三亚市城市总体规划等。

　　二是加快地图编制工作，促进测绘成果的广泛应用。编制的主要地图有：《海南省地图集》、《海南省国防交通图集》、《海南省教育系统图集》、《海南省地图册》、《海南省实用地图》、、《海南省地图册》、《地震防御图》、《航标图》、《工行网点分布图》、《海事分布图》、《万宁市地图》等60多个图种，更新海南省18个市县挂图，完成海南省首份《电子地图集》，为开发建设海南起到了重要保障作用。

　　三是促进地理信息产业发展，加强公共产品开发。研制海南省教育WEBGIS、海南防洪电子沙盘信息系统（二期）、湖南省公路地理信息管理系统、海南省地名管理信息系统和海南省行政区域界线管理信息系统、海南电信号码百事通地理信息系统、海南省应急联动指挥平台GIS、海南省地理空间信息数据库与公共服务平台（一期）等，取得了良好的社会效益和经济效益。四是完善服务职能，推动测绘成果共建共享。与海南省教育厅合作，开发海南省教育管理系统；与省地震局签署合作协议，建设海南省抗震救灾指挥系统基础地理信息平台。
