　　《南北极地图集》是我国第一部反映南北极自然地理环境与我国南北极测绘科学考察成果的地图集。该图集对我国南北极测绘的各类地图成果进行了系统化、规范化、科学化的概括与整理，并收集了国内外相关资料，综合反映了25年来我国南北极测绘的历史与研究成果。

　　《南北极地图集》运用最新的测绘技术手段和数字制图工艺，采用基于彩色地图桌面出版系统的全数字地图制图技术，集图像、影像、文字、图片于一体。在内容结构上围绕由南极洲和北极地区到中国南北极考查地区，从极地地理环境特征到我国极地测绘考察现状两条主线展开，突出反映了极地特有的区域地理特点和现象。系统汇集了普通地理地图、专题地图、影像图共70多幅，图片150张，文字说明2.2万字。

　　《南北极地图集》的出版、发行，是我国极地测绘事业的结晶，也将成为我国极地测绘史上的一座丰碑，它将为人类认识极地、保护极地、和平利用极地提供重要的基础地理资料，将在全球气候变化研究与我国极地科学考察中发挥重要作用，也将对促进极地研究领域的国际学术交流、提升我国国际声誉以及在国际极地事务中的地位产生重大影响。

January 22, from the polar of Surveying and Mapping State Key Laboratory of Surveying and Mapping Bureau of preparation, China Map Publishing House, published "Atlas of North-South Polar" premiere was held in Beijing.

"North-South Polar Atlas" is a reflection of China's first Arctic and Antarctic environment and our natural geographical poles of the Atlas survey and mapping results of scientific investigation. The atlas of China's polar mapping results of the various maps were systematic, standardized and scientific generalizations and organizing, and collected relevant information at home and abroad, comprehensive reflection of the past 25 years China's polar mapping the history and research results.


"North-South Polar Atlas," using the latest mapping techniques and digital mapping techniques, color map-based desktop publishing system, all-digital map graphics, set graphics, images, text, pictures in one. Is structured around the content from the Antarctic and the Arctic region to examine the Chinese Arctic and Antarctic regions, geographic features from the poles to the status quo of China's polar mapping study two main lines start, highlighted the polar regions unique geographical features and phenomena. System brings together the general geographic maps, thematic maps, a total of 70 pieces of maps, pictures, 150, text 22000 characters.


"North-South Polar Atlas," the publishing, distribution, is the crystallization of the cause of China's polar surveying and mapping, will also become China's polar surveying and mapping in the history of a monument that will for human understanding of polar, polar protection, peaceful use of Arctic provide an important basis for geographic information, global climate change research in the polar scientific exploration with China to play an important role, but also will promote polar research in international academic exchanges, and enhancing our international reputation, as well as in international affairs, the status of polar significant impact.
