本次会议的主题是“加快空间地理信息设施建设，为防灾减灾提供测绘保障”。与会代表介绍了各自省市区以及本单位的测绘工作情况，特别是开展地理信息建设、提供应急测绘保障工作情况，认真审议了《突发事件地理信息资源应急保障联合协议》，并围绕建立西南地区应急测绘保障机制进行了研讨。大家一致认为，随着经济社会的发展，区域融合、交流是发展的大趋势，西部地区要加强地理信息合作、共建共享，进一步促进测绘事业的发展，提高测绘保障服务能力。
