新疆维吾尔自治区测绘局自2004年成立团委以来，每年都积极组织团员青年参加自治区直属机关开展的五元钱济困助学活动，目前已资助品学兼优的贫困学生10人。2009年该局各单位各族团员青年踊跃捐款，第一测绘院领导干部带头捐助，仅该院参与人数就达72人。今年全局共有144人捐款，合计602元。
