10月24日，武汉大学举行纪念大会，隆重纪念中国科学院资深院士，中国摄影测量与遥感学科的奠基人，杰出的科学家、优秀的教育家、著名的社会活动家王之卓教授诞辰100周年，深切缅怀他为中国摄影测量与遥感学科、为学校发展作出的巨大贡献。国家测绘局副局长李维森出席会议并讲话。陈俊勇、刘先林、童庆禧、王家耀、许其凤、李德仁、宁津生、刘经南、张祖勋9位院士出席会议。

　　国家测绘局副局长李维森在讲话中指出，纪念王之卓先生，就是要继承和弘扬他光辉的学术思想和崇高的人格魅力，激励全国测绘工作者努力工作，促进我国测绘事业的发展。他希望学校发挥在测绘学科人才培养、科学研究方面的优势，培养更多测绘科研、教育和生产人才；希望全国测绘工作者以王之卓等先驱为榜样，谱写中国测绘事业发展新的壮丽篇章。

　　武汉大学校长顾海良在讲话中回顾了王之卓的生平事迹，高度评价其卓越的贡献和崇高的风范。湖北省人大常委会副主任罗辉、国际摄影测量与遥感学会主席奥汉·阿尔坦、中国测绘学会理事长杨凯、中华台北航空测量及遥感探测学会理事长王蜀嘉等先后致辞。李德仁、张祖勋、刘先林等王之卓的学生以及海内外各界代表登台发言，表达对王之卓的深切缅怀和崇高敬意。

　　会议向王之卓创新人才奖捐赠单位代表颁发了捐赠证书。该项奖学金至今已颁发10届，共奖励武汉大学测绘学科100余名优秀学子。

　　来自德国斯图加特大学和汉诺威大学、日本东京大学、瑞士苏黎士理工大学以及美国、澳大利亚、俄罗斯等国和台湾、香港等地区著名大学的20多位国际知名学者，来自国家测绘局、湖北省、中国科学院的领导，来自国内高校、科研机构、测绘系统、国防系统和相关企业的负责人和专家，武汉大学校领导、测绘学科师生和校友代表等2000余人参加了纪念大会。

　　在王之卓诞辰百年之际，全国政界、学界等许多知名人士题词或撰文纪念。全国科教文卫体委员会主任、科技部原部长徐冠华院士的题词是：“王之卓先生，您是中国科学家永远的榜样。”湖北省委书记罗清泉的题词是：“学界泰斗，大家风范。”国土资源部副部长、国家测绘局局长徐德明的题词是：“测绘先驱王之卓，开拓创新波澜阔。汗马功勋载史册，业界泰斗人楷模。”

Jun-Yong Chen, Xian-Lin Liu, Qing-Xi Tong, Wang Yao, Xu Feng, Li Deren, Ning-sheng, Liu Jing-nan, Zuxun nine academicians attended the meeting.

Li Weisen, Deputy Secretary for National Surveying and Mapping said in a speech to commemorate Mr. Wang Zhizhuo, we should inherit and carry forward his brilliant academic thought and lofty charisma to inspire the national surveying and mapping workers to work hard to promote the development of the cause of China's surveying and mapping. He hopes to play in mapping the school discipline personnel training, scientific research, advantages, cultivate more mapping research, education and production personnel; hope that the national surveying and mapping workers to Zhuo Wang and pioneers, such as an example, write a China Surveying and Mapping a new glorious chapter in the career development.


Gu Liang, Wuhan University Vice-Chancellor in his speech recalled the life story Zhuo Wang spoke highly of his outstanding contribution and noble demeanor. Luo Hui, deputy director of Hubei Provincial People's Congress, the International Society for Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing Society President O Han Altan, China Surveying and Mapping Society for Yang, Chinese Taipei Airlines Association Chairman of surveying and remote sensing such as Wang Shu-chia speeches. Li Deren, Zu-Xun Zhang, Zhuo Wang Xian-Lin Liu and other students and representatives from various sectors at home and abroad to speak on stage to express the deep memory of Wang Zhuo and high esteem.

Wang Zhuo at the occasion of the birth of a hundred years, national politicians, academics, and many other celebrities, or the author's inscription to commemorate. Science, education director of the National Commission on Science and Technology Minister Xu Guanhua former Fellow of the inscription reads: "Mr. Wang Zhizhuo, you are forever an example of Chinese scientists." Party secretary of Hubei Luo Qingquan's inscription reads: "the academic dean, everyone demeanor." Homeland Deputy Minister of Resources, the State Bureau of Surveying and Mapping Secretary TSUI Tak Ming's inscription reads: "Mapping pioneer Wang Zhuo, pioneering and innovative wide waves. Khan, MA feats go down in history, the industry model of eminent persons."
