10月20日， 测绘学院党委书记陈涛主持召开学生工作干部会议，听取了开学以来学生工作的进展情况，并就目前学生思想政治方面存在的问题进行了研究讨论。 学院党委副书记郭加书在汇报中指出，学院始终坚持 “社会认可、学校放心、家长满意”的工作思路，树立“以学生为本，以育人为首，以管理为重，以服务为上” 的工作理念，在学生工作中重点开展“理想导航”工程、“人生导师”工程和“精英教育”等三大工程，着力抓好学生的实践动手能力，在科技创新、学风建设方面取得了较大的成绩。
陈涛在听取汇报后充分肯定了学院学生工作所取得的成绩，提出要继续做好学生的思想政治工作，做细，做扎实，要关注重点学生、重点人群，开展富有特色的学生活动，做好2010届毕业生的就业工作，推动学院学生工作的进一步发展。
