10月19日至20日，湖北省测绘学会在宜昌召开测绘学会成立50周年纪念大会暨第十次会员代表大会。宜昌市政府、湖北省科协、中国测绘学会等单位领导和测绘界知名院士专家出席会议，全省测绘会员单位代表共240多人参加会议。

　　大会宣读了国家测绘局、湖北省人民政府、省科协等领导亲笔题写的贺词。省测绘局局长张建仁作《回顾历史展望未来，再创学会工作新辉煌》的报告。

　　张建仁在报告中指出，测绘学会开展了多种形式的测绘科普活动和测绘科技学术交流活动，不断推动测绘科技进步，各项工作取得了可喜成绩。湖北作为测绘大省，测绘学会拥有众多在测绘界享有盛誉的专家，成为全国测绘专业学术队伍中实力雄厚的学术团体，是湖北测绘工作者的骄傲。他要求，各会员单位和会员要继续深入学习实践科学发展观，加强学术交流，不断拓宽测绘科技创新与技术服务领域，为湖北测绘事业的平稳较快发展提供有力支持。

　　与会代表一致通过了第九届理事会工作报告和《湖北省测绘学会章程》。会议选举产生了新一届理事会，理事单位96个，理事人数134人，比上届均有增加，涵盖单位更加广泛，更具代表性。十届一次会议选举张建仁为湖北省测绘学会第十届理事长。

　　大会表彰了2006年至2009年湖北测绘学会先进集体和先进个人，对《滑坡变形分析与预报新方法研究》等26篇优秀论文进行了奖励，与会专家还进行了测绘新技术交流。

Hubei province as a mapping, surveying and mapping Society has many renowned experts in the surveying and mapping industry, and a national academic team of professional surveying and mapping the strength of the academic community, is proud of Hubei mapping workers. The participants unanimously adopted the report of its ninth work of the Council and the "Constitution of Hubei Institute of Surveying and Mapping."
