作者: 熊远帆 1999年10月1日,在新中国成立50周年的阅兵式上,有一支钢铁方阵格外引人注目。它由18台装甲步兵战车组成。这支钢铁之师,作为我国自行研制的第一代步兵战车,诞生在一个战略地位并不显眼的内陆城市,湖南湘潭。 在轰隆而过的战车里,坐着一名并非战士的司机。他是来自湘潭某军工厂的技术员,名叫陈耀武。 1979年9月,湘潭某军工厂外,三步一岗,五步一哨,气氛十分紧张。一列火车沿着铁路专线,徐徐开进厂内,车厢上,是一个用篷布罩得严严实实的庞然大物。29岁的陈耀武,是一名测绘科的技术员,这天一早,他接到通知,要求迅速赶到测绘室,接受一个新任务。走进测绘室,陈耀武立刻被眼前的东西震住了,这是一辆不知道从哪里弄来的弹痕累累的战车,是当时国际上最为先进的步兵战车。 在当时,对于步兵战斗队伍庞大,但火力配备依然薄弱的中国人民解放军来说,只有装备性能优良的步兵战车,才能在现代战争中占有优势。 从那天之后,陈耀武就和同事一起,每天泡在测绘室里,对这辆战车进行全面解剖,将每一块钢板、每一个零件的厚薄尺寸测绘成图。两个月后,当晒图室把一捆捆草图晒成图纸的时候,竟然装了满满一卡车。而中国第一代步兵战车的蓝图,也在科研人员的脑海中,渐渐清晰。 仅用了15个月的时间,一万多个零部件的生产、加工、组装全部完成。1980年12月,中国自己制造的第一台步兵战车样车诞生了。经过无数次反复试验之后,到1982年底,步兵战车的最终样车试制完成。然而,作为新一代产品,步兵战车多项技术标准在各个负责核定的部门之间难以达成一致,定型工作从1983年开始,迟迟没有进展。 而就是在这期间,工厂的格局发生了重要的变化。这一变化来自于1985年该厂开始生产的一项民用的产品——塔吊,在短短半年时间内,这一产品取得了骄人的销售业绩。甚至一度成为了“需要找关系、打条子”才能买来的紧俏产品。相对于军工产品“步兵战车”的困难重重,民用产品因为其生产周期短、销售面广,更符合企业的效益原则。此时,厂内出现了严重的方向性分歧。 关键时刻, 1986年,步兵战车及车组正式通过了国家相关部门的定型认可。 1988年11月,国际防务展览在北京举行,步兵战车组成为了这次展览的焦点。来自中央军委的高层视察及军内外数百位专家代表观看了战车演示。1988年11月24日出版的一份《解放军报》,在报纸的头版,刊载了新中国第一代步兵战车的照片,编者在照片下附上了一段文字,称“它将使我国陆军战斗实力犹如猛虎添翼。” 随后,全国各军区各军种,纷纷将这种由中国人自己研制生产的步兵战车,纳入部队装备序列,步兵战车及其族群,正式实现了“列装”这一最重要的使命。 十年磨一剑,无数湘潭军工人从黑发人磨成了白发人。当第一代步兵战车,湘潭铁骑被中央军委选中参加50周年国庆阅兵大典时,所有的人都兴奋地相拥而泣。 1999年10月1日,在接到步兵战车研制任务整整20年之后,湘潭军工人谱写的一曲最为高亢的战歌在北京唱响。
