近些年来，江苏省测绘局着力加强人才培养，全力推进江苏测绘事业科学、和谐、快速发展，为地方经济建设和社会发展作出了积极贡献，受到各级政府和广大用户的认可和赞扬。

　　该局主要做法：一是将省测绘培训中心、武汉大学江苏省测绘局函授站、省测绘局职业技能鉴定中心，组建合并成具有3块牌子（1套班子）全额拨款的事业单位，全面负责全省测绘行业职工培训、专业技术人员继续教育、测绘职业技能鉴定培训等有关工作。二是制定全省测绘人员培训教育规划和计划，着力提高广大干部职工继续教育和职业技能水平，奠定扎实的测绘技术水平和测绘生产能力。三是深入贯彻落实科技兴测、人才强测的教育培训措施，充分发挥职业技能鉴定指导中心、特有工种职业技能鉴定站和武汉大学江苏省测绘局函授站三项专业职能的优势，拓展教育培训思路，创新教育培训方法，强化教育培训保障，夯实教育培训基础。四是加强与省人事厅和有关部门的紧密合作，主动承担全省测绘工人技术等级岗位升级培训、考核等工作，在着力加强局系统人才培养和科技教育深入发展的同时，不断推进全省测绘行业继续教育和测绘科技创新，积极为全省培训培养高新测绘技术人才，有效地促进江苏测绘事业和测绘技术良性发展。据不完全统计，该局共为全省工程测量员、房产测量员、大地测量员、地图制图员等五个专业举办110多次鉴定与培训，受训人员累计5000多人次，总合格率为86.7%,培养测绘专业人才近4000多人，为江苏测绘事业发展培养了大量高层次、多工种、多方面的技术人才和新生力量。

　　江苏测绘事业的快速发展，得益于省政府的重视和省测绘局积极推进人才队伍建设和人才培养，得益于有一个良好的培养培训机制和体制，得益于全省测绘系统各单位领导的大力支持和高度信任。全省590多家测绘单位，1万多名测绘技术人员，仅2008年就完成测绘服务产值近16亿元，测绘服务保障能力有效地满足了全省经济社会发展对测绘的需求，为江苏省地方经济建设和社会发展提供了全方位的测绘保障服务。
