王春峰在讲话中充分肯定了西南有关省、自治区、直辖市“十一五”测绘规划总体实施工作取得的成绩，阐述了国家“十二五”测绘规划战略思路，并对“十二五”规划工作的开展提出了具体要求：一是西南各省（区）要紧紧围绕国家“十二五”测绘规划总体思路，结合自身实际情况进一步研究，抓紧开展 “十二五”规划有关工作。二是国家测绘局要进一步深入调研，充分听取、研究、吸纳各方面的意见和建议，制订出切实可行的国家“十二五”测绘规划。三是各测绘行政主管部门要与国家测绘局充分沟通与协调，共同谋划“十二五”测绘发展战略。

　　会议进行了交流发言，西南地区有关省、自治区、直辖市测绘行政主管部门和国家测绘局重庆测绘院交流了本地区组织开展“十一五”规划实施工作的具体措施、规划执行总体情况及存在的主要问题，阐述了本地区基础测绘“十二五”发展思路及重点，并从本地区实际出发，提出希望列入国家基础测绘规划中有关重大测绘项目，对国家测绘局进一步改进基础测绘规划工作和基础测绘年度计划管理工作提出具体意见和建议。

　　国家测绘局规划财务司、国土测绘司以及测绘发展研究中心负责人就规划工作涉及的测绘事业和地理信息产业的协调发展、自主创新、人才培养提出了具体要求，表示对各测绘行政主管部门对规划工作的意见和建议将认真研究落实。
