根据国家建立普查区电子地图的工作要求，经过全区各级统计部门的共同努力，宁夏已圆满完成了普查区电子绘图工作。数据已按时上报国家经济普查办公室。其主要工作呈现以下特点：

　　一是发挥测绘部门的专业优势。在绘制普查区电子地图工作中，按照互惠互利的原则，宁夏基础地理信息中心给予了大力配合。从普查区电子绘图工作方案的制定，到对基层电子地图业务知识培训，下基层指导，乡（镇、街道）和村（普查区）两级普查区地图边界的矢量化等工作，宁夏基础地理信息中心专业人员全程参与，使我区普查区电子绘图工作少走了弯路，地图数据质量有了可靠保障。

　　二是大力发挥了基层统计局的工作协调优势。普查区电子绘图工作的关键是取得包含宁夏乡（镇、街道）和村（普查区）行政边界线的基础地图资料，全区市县统计局克服多种困难，积极与当地测绘、建设、民政、土地等多个部门协调，收集了丰富详实的地图资料，为普查区绘图工作提供了资料来源。

　　三是宁夏成为全国少数几个建成大比例普查区电子地图的省份之一。宁夏经济普查普查区电子地图有粗有细，所有城区地图为1：2000比例尺，城区以外区域为1：50000比例尺；地图要素绘制标准规范，所有图层都由测绘专业技术人员绘制。这为下一步应用及建立宁夏经济统计地理信息系统打下了坚实的基础。
