冀中能源峰峰集团有限公司伴随着共和国的成长,已经走过了60年沧桑岁月,现已发展成为集煤炭采选、煤化工、电力、装备制造、基建施工、现代物流等多产业综合发展的国有大型企业。2008年在全国500强企业中名列第369名。
峰峰集团有绵长的历史根脉,是我国最早开发利用的矿区之一,至今已有130多年开采历史。1949年9月18日成立峰峰矿务局。1998年8月由原煤炭部部属企业划拨到河北省管理。2003年8月8日峰峰集团有限公司宣告成立,建立了现代企业制度,峰峰集团驶入了快速发展之路。2008年6月,与河北金能集团强强联合,组建了冀中能源集团有限责任公司,掀开了企业发展新的一页。
峰峰集团是我国焦煤和动力煤重要生产基地,从南到北赋存着焦煤、肥煤、瘦煤、无烟煤等品种,尤其是冶炼用焦煤属我国保护性稀缺煤种,被誉为“工业精粉”。现有9个正常生产矿井,年产原煤1300万吨;2座大型洗煤厂和4座矿井洗煤厂,年产精煤700万吨以上。煤化工产业有省重点产业支撑项目峰峰煤化工项目,总规模500万吨焦炭、100万吨甲醇、60万吨醋酸及下游延伸产品。电力产业有4座煤矸石综合利用发电厂、1座煤气热电厂和1座瓦斯热电厂,总装机容量137.5MW。2008年企业总资产149亿元,营业收入216亿元。下设45个分(子)公司,在册职工4.5万人。

与共和国一起成长的冀中能源峰峰集团,已经走过了60个春秋。半个多世纪的岁月交替,60年的风雨沧桑,企业从小到大,由弱到强。从一个年产原煤仅52万吨的小煤矿逐渐发展成为举足轻重的千万吨大局;从单一的煤炭生产逐步发展到以煤为主、多业并举的国有特大型煤炭企业;从拘于一地到走出矿区、跨出燕赵,闯出了一条具有峰峰集团特色的创新发展之路;职工生活从艰难困苦走向富足安康,矿区环境日新月异,取得了富民强企的巨大成就。
60年,企业经济总量实现大跨越,综合实力显著增强。峰峰局成立于1949年9月18日。1950年,全局固定资产只有751万元,工业总产值仅为1438万元。
